MT chimps under quarantine

Two chimpanzees in Carbon County have been placed under quarantine.
Carbon County Commissioner John Prinkki told us that Jeanne Rizzotto agreed to a quarantine at a January board of health meeting, after one of her chimps escaped and bit a neighbor.
The county commissioners and board of health members ordered Rizzotto to keep her chimps, Kramer and Conner, enclosed at her property in Boyd on Thursday. They also told Rizzoto that the chimps can only be around her and her son.
The public is not to have any access to them. Rizzotto must also turn in veterinary records in 14 days and give her 30 days to get them up to date.
"They're my life, that is my life, that's all I have," said Rizzotto about what her chimps mean to her.
"So if they think they're going to have a meeting and just poof they're gone, not happening. Not happening in this world, next world, tomorrow, next month," said Rizzotto about the county taking away her chimps.
Commissioner Prinkki says if Rizzotto does not meet the requirements, as a last resort, the county could take her chimps. Rizzotto says that will happen over her dead body."
